With Joe Zawinul one of the most respected and important musicians of our time passed away on September 11th, 2007. He was 75 years old, but his recent performance with the Zawinul Syndicate I feel priviledged to have witnessed, was just as amazing and timeless as ever: the energy level seemed to indicate anything but what was already written in the stars ...

Though he left us in body, he remains with us in spirit.
